The winner of RefuSHE’s Fashion Challenge 2022: Destination Nairobi is… Peggy Onyango!
The votes are in! We love the way Peggy used the Nadia Blooming Vines fabric to tell Iman's story. From the movement of the long, flowy jacket, to the fit of the bustier, Peggy's construction of this "two-in-one" was impeccable. We were also impressed with the beautiful way Peggy styled her model, Lillian, and incorporated the Kendra Scott necklace!
“I loved her story. I was so inspired and immediately when I read that story I knew I was meant to make something that was a two-in-one,” said Peggy of her collaboration with Iman. “I wanted to create attention with this style.”

ABOUT THE MENTEE: IMAN MOHAMMED ABDALLA
Iman Mohammed Abdalla was forced to flee political persecution in Ethiopia at just 10 years old. After arriving in Kenya, Iman's mother went missing. While she still longs to find her mother, Iman has created a new life for herself as a member of RefuSHE's Artisan Collective. She is proud of her accomplishments and dreams of becoming a successful fashion designer and tailoring instructor.
