Fundraising Officer

Stephen Machua is a development professional with a decade of experience in project management, strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and private sector engagement, with a strong focus on youth entrepreneurship and sustainable development. Stephen has worked as a fundraising consultant, where he played a key role in securing funding for a variety of development projects, including those focused on youth employment, entrepreneurship, and digital skilling.

Stephen is a beneficiary of leadership programs and scholarships, including the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Chevening Scholarship, the Presidential Innovation Award, and the UNLEASH. As a member of the British Council’s Next Generation Research Task Force, he contributed significantly to research on youth unemployment and policy development.

Stephen holds a Master of Science in Global Urban Development and Planning from the University of Manchester, a postgraduate diploma in Global Social Sustainable Enterprise from Colorado State University, and a finance degree from the Technical University of Kenya. He has also completed public policy training at the University of Calgary.
