Meet RefuSHE's Frontline Heroes

Dear RefuSHE Community,

As we enter a new year, I feel incredibly honored to lead and serve RefuSHE. Our team has been working hard to safely reopen our campus in Nairobi and I want to take this moment to recognize their continued dedication.

Today, we celebrate RefuSHE’s frontline heroes: our caseworkers, counselors, teachers, and nurses who stepped up when our community needed us most. Our staff rose to the occasion to ensure that the girls and young women in our care felt supported, safe, and empowered throughout the past year.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be highlighting their innovation and versatility in a special #RefuSHERO series on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I invite you to see what (and who) makes our work at RefuSHE so impactful.

To start, please join me on a virtual tour of our new(ish!) campus. Thanks to your support, we moved into our new space in early 2020. The team and I can’t wait to show you the changes and adaptations we have put in place to ensure a safe reopening this month.

As we begin this new phase of our journey together, I am grateful for your support and excited to continue leading this kind of solution-centered innovation at RefuSHE.

Together, we can ensure our resilient community of girls continues to receive the care they need and deserve.

Thank you,
