Fashion Challenge X: A Decade of Impact

On April 12th, over 250 guests attended a one-of-a-kind runway show featuring looks created with fabric made in RefuSHE's social enterprise, a program that fosters leadership and business skills through the design and production of hand-dyed fabrics and scarves.

Our most successful to date, this year’s gala was an incredible start to our 2018 celebration of our Decade of Impact. We raised over $190,000 to continue our work protecting, nurturing, and empowering refugee girls.

The bold and inspiring designs featured on the runway were equally beautiful, but it was Rakan Shams-Aldeen who stole the show as the winner of the RefuSHE's Fashion Challenge X. Congratulations, Rakan!

Fashion Challenge X was the second stop on the UN Refugee Agency's (UNHCR's) #WithRefugees World Tour. The #WithRefugees World Tour is a series of public events that raise awareness and inspire more action for individuals who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution.
